
INCLUSIVE NATURE
KA2 Strategic Partneship
Our project's primary goal is to empower teachers to spend more time outdoors with special needs children by offering training and resources. We aim to demonstrate how learning and playing in nature can positively impact their sensory development, improve their overall well-being and enhance the quality of special education in the long term. This involves providing educational resources and training courses specifically designed for educators working in the field of special education.
-A Kick-Off Meeting will be held in Finland
-An Inclusive Nature training course in will be run in Slovenia
-A Nature Based Sensory Development Training course will be held in Turkiye
-A Nature-Based Sensory Development Handbook will be published for special education practitioners. -Sensory Play Areas will be designed in partner countries
-Workshops will be implemented for teachers.
-As a promotion activity, an online event will be organized for the people interested in the topic.
Results:
- 12 teachers will be trained through Inclusive Nature and Nature-Based Sensory Development activities. - A Handbook will be published,
- Three Sensory Play Areas will be designed,
- Nine pilot activities will be applied to 45 special needs children,
- 60 teachers will attend local Nature-Based Sensory Development workshops, - Nature Inclusive webpage will be online for a min. 3 years.
We also expect special needs children to go outdoors more and benefit from nature by empowering teachers.
